Pinky on Geaux: Girls on Geaux Run+Walk Club Recap

There’s something powerful about women coming together to move, connect, and take charge of their safety.

Safely was excited to partner with Girls on Geaux Run+Walk Club for a community run and walk with an important conversation about personal safety.

With Pinky and plenty of Practice Sprays in tow, the morning gave runners a chance to build practical skills they could carry with them long after the meet-up ended.

Community in Motion

Girls on Geaux has created a welcoming space where women can move together, encourage one another, and build meaningful connections along the way.

The group started the morning with a community run and walk, bringing together women of different paces and experience levels. It was a reminder that movement can be about so much more than miles. It can also help women feel supported, capable, and more confident in their surroundings.

That shared belief is exactly why we’re proud to have Girls on Geaux as one of our run club partners.

Practicing Personal Safety

After the run and walk, the group gathered for safety tips and a hands-on demonstration using Safely Practice Sprays.

Our Practice Spray is filled with 100% water, giving runners a safe way to become familiar with how pepper spray works. Participants had the opportunity to practice holding, aiming, and deploying a spray so they could feel more prepared to use a personal safety tool if they ever needed it.

Many people carry pepper spray without ever practicing with it first. But confidence comes from knowing what your safety tool feels like, how it works, and how to access it quickly. That’s why we believe personal safety education is just as important as carrying the tool itself.

Pinky Goes to Girls on Geaux

Of course, Pinky joined the fun too!

Our five-foot pink skeleton traveled to the meet-up to help runners practice their aim, spark conversations about personal safety, and make a few new friends along the way.

Thank You, Girls on Geaux!

We’re so grateful to Girls on Geaux for bringing women together around community, movement, and personal safety.

Partnerships like this help make safety education more approachable and give more women the opportunity to practice before they ever find themselves in a situation where they need to rely on a safety tool.

Here’s to more miles, more confidence, and more women taking charge of their safety.
