- Strap Grip: secures the Sidekick to your hand so it stays with you no matter what. Recommended for runners and high movement activities
- Knux Grip: sits visibly on your hand so potential threats know you are prepared. Please note the knux grip is not available in NY, MA, CA, WA, MI, IL, VT, AK, or HI due to state laws.
All Confidence Kit orders come with both grips. Additional grips sold separately.

What makes the Sidekick different from regular pepper spray?
Regular pepper spray gives you one tool. The Sidekick gives you five. In addition to max strength pepper spray, the Sidekick features a 130 dB personal safety alarm, a rechargeable LED flashlight, your choice of grip, and a safety spike attachment. The alarm pull pin cord also wraps around your wrist, so if anyone tries to grab the Sidekick from you the alarm activates automatically. Everything is compact enough to fit in your hand, bag, or back pocket. It is the only personal safety device of its kind and it is patent pending.
What's included in every Sidekick?
Every Sidekick comes with your choice of color (pink, white or black), grip (strap, knux or both for +$10), and spray (pepper spray, practice spray or both for +$5). Every order also includes the flashlight, alarm, both attachments (keychain and safety spike), and a charger. When you run out or the pepper spray expires, replacement pepper sprays and practice sprays are available for purchase separately.

Can I replace the pepper spray when it runs out?
Yes! Replacement pepper sprays and practice sprays are available for purchase separately on our website. The spray pops in and out of the Sidekick in seconds so swapping is easy. Remember that pepper spray has a 4 year shelf life so even if you never use it, we recommend replacing it when it expires to make sure you are always protected.
How do I charge my Sidekick and how long does the battery last?
The Sidekick battery lasts 4+ hours of continuous flashlight use on a single charge. To recharge, simply plug in the included micro-USB charger. We recommend charging your Sidekick regularly so it is always ready when you need it.
Is the Sidekick legal and does it ship to my state?
The Sidekick is legal and ships to all 50 states with a few component exceptions. We cannot ship the knux grip to NY, MA, CA, WA, MI, IL, VT, AK, or HI. If you are in one of these states please choose the strap grip. We cannot ship pepper spray to AK, HI, MA, or NY. If you are in one of these states please choose the strap grip with practice spray. All other Sidekick components ship to all 50 states. We always recommend checking your local laws regarding pepper spray and self defense tools. Safely products are currently only available in the USA.
