Join us on August 8th for the 2026 edition of Houston Party in the Park presented by HARRA!

This free community event is open to all paces and hosted on the grass just west of the Tennis Center at Memorial Park, from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 8th. Expect a morning full of community running, free refreshments like watermelon, Gatorade, and beverages, live music, and more.

Event Details:

When: Saturday, August 8th

Where: Memorial Park, Houston, TX (grass just west of the Tennis Center)

Who: Open to all paces and the entire Houston running community

What to Expect:

• Community runs throughout the morning, starting in front of the Party in the Park Arch
• Free refreshments including watermelon, Gatorade, and beverages
• Live DJ + Music Zone from 8:00–10:00 a.m.
• Club Open Mic Sessions at 7:45 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. in front of the HARRA Tent
• Closing & Raffle at 9:45 a.m. with shout-outs and prize giveaways

RSVP to help estimate refreshments needed for the event.

Donations are optional and support free events hosted by running clubs collaborating with HARRA, the umbrella running organization for the Houston running community.

Safely is excited to join J&H Running Co. for a special demo evening centered on trying out gear and building confidence in the community.

We'll be there teaching attendees how to confidently carry and use pepper spray with our water-filled practice sprays, so you can build the skills and confidence to protect yourself if you ever need to. Plus, you can demo the newest Saucony shoes and hang out with the community before or after a fun social loop.

• Hands-on pepper spray education with Safely
• Practice using water-filled practice sprays
• Demo the newest Saucony shoes
• Social 0.5-mile loop from J&H Running Co. (looped 3x, walk shorter or longer as you like)
• Lead and sweep support, so no one gets left behind
• Community, food, and other surprises

Safely is excited to partner with Girls on Geaux Run+Walk Club for a meet-up centered on community, movement, and personal safety.

Girls on Geaux will have our water-filled practice sprays on hand so runners can build the skills and confidence to protect themselves, plus a space to talk about taking charge of your safety with one of our run club partners.
